We love holidays! We have had so much fun decorating our house for Halloween this year and can't believe how fast October came and went! If we are lucky Christmas will sneak up on us just as fast! (We can only hope!) October for us Whatcott's was such a crazy month with Todd's brother Cody leaving on his mission to Omaha, Nebraska. We are so proud of him and are so excited to hear about his experiences over the next two years. He is going to be such a great missionary and is such a great example to us. We sure will miss him!

Of course Halloween isn't complete without some awesome pumpkin carving! Every year I think it can only get easier because you know exactly what to expect and what you want to do, but as always I choose one that is way to hard for my talent. My pumpkin of course is the one with the Disney castle carved into it! As I set to work on my carving Todd made it look pretty effortless as he carved the coolest Jack Skellington pumpkin from Nightmare Before Christmas! He just free hand drew it with a sharpie and it turned out perfect! Then he got the opportunity to set to work on our other two pumpkins because I still hadn't finished mine because I didn't anticipate it being so thick and I really had to work at it. (Excuses I know, really it was just because Todd is the best pumpkin carver there ever was!) This is at the end of the night with all of our sweet jack-o-lanterns!
